Read More Paul & Tara Amarante 17 May 2026 8:08 pm The pilgrimage to the top is a literal and figurative representation of life. At times the views are breathtaking and the walk is easy. Other moments are less than pleasant, with changing difficulty and sudden storms, mirroring our fragile existence and troubles. We can only truly prepare ourselves for all the possible hazards and hardships of the journey through trust in God. All other precautions avail us nothing in comparison. Climbed Croagh Patrick not quite knowing what we were getting into. What an adventure! Felt like a great accomplishment. How about St. Patrick 40 days on the mountain... water? Shelter? Must have been a powerful, prayerful experience. Definitely felt like a Holy experience connecting to God, St. Patrick, and all the pilgrims who went before us. We were blessed to participate in this special tradition. Read More Nia Burgess 24 September 2025 10:03 am I've been struggling to understand God, faith, and christianity in general for a long time now. I'm still unsure of exactly what I believe, but experiencing Croagh Patrick inspired me and filled me with peace. I can feel the spirit of everyone who's made the climb before me, as if we're all here at once, and all connected. I came to Ireland in hopes of finding true solitude and quiet, and Croagh Patrick has more than filled that need. I feel a sense of rest here, as if something outside of me, bigger than me, is keeping me safe. I'm filled with gratitude for the people who fought to preserve this mountain, and that I was able to see this beautiful view. My wife has had a little surgery in the last month but, despite my worries, powered up to the summit. She did wonderfully well. What a wonderfully well maintained walking route to the summit. The views from the peak are a reminder of life’s vastness and the opportunities that lie beyond the horizon, waiting for us to take that leap of chance. Good health became more than a wish; it felt like a responsibility—to care for ourselves, for one another, and for the Earth that holds us all. And as the wind carried prayers whispered by generations before, it felt like a collective yearning for peace on Earth, a dream we still hold dear, no matter how distant it may sometimes seem. In all seriousness, it was beautiful to watch them experience the physical and spiritual journey of the mountain. We made frequent stops for short reflections and prayers, and each time we paused, we were reminded of how blessed we are to live on this beautiful Earth.
